How technology will transform our economic destiny
The Economist Conferences in Europe introduced a new concept of corporate event, a pioneer in the continent. The forecast that by 2015 Internet traffic will quadruple, means that the technology is in the foreground on the boards of organizations, increasingly, organizations rely on technology to manage their critical business processes. However, there is often an imbalance in the approach, most people seek the latest technological tool, instead of paying attention to the impact this will have on business operations. Technology Frontiers address this issue. Will be an event that brings together the most interesting thinkers, intelligent and influential in challenging the current dogma and open the minds of business leaders to new ideas and possibilities.
With the guarantee of having a program developed by The Economist Conferences and directed by the digital editor of The Economist, Tom Standage, a world authority on business and technology issues and one of the Top 100 players of the digital power of Wired magazine, this eventoaportará the keys to understanding the change that will in society, economics and business organizations, the application of technology. Speakers already confirmed include aCory Doctorow, who will explain how technology will change attitudes regarding the content and creativity, and social impact this will have, Esra Al Shafel, who related his own experience in using technology to facilitate Social Change in the Middle East, and Aleks Krotoski, who will describe how technology has changed the way how people influence others, and what it means for organizations.
As part of the Frontiers Technology Program, the Economist Intelligence Unit is conducting a thorough investigation, sponsored by RICOH Europe, which in turn is a founding sponsor of the event, on “The new corporate change agents.” The findings of this study will be presented at the summit of Technology Frontiers.
