CORFO also announced special “School Environment Support Program” to encourage the application of projects promoting entrepreneurship among high school students.
This InnovaChile support line is available all year, but this time, with the Ministry of Economy and Education, will be a special call for projects that impact the school environment and promote entrepreneurship culture in the early stages.

At the launch activity involved the finance ministers and Juan Andres Fontaine Joaquin Lavin Education, along with executive vice president of CORFO, Hernan Cheyre.

The objective of this special call is to reinforce the development of skills and entrepreneurial skills in students, also self-confidence, flexibility, ability to find solutions, learn to assume and manage risks, identify opportunities, as well as scientific curiosity awakening and perseverance.

The ultimate goal is to foster a generation of Chileans able to create personal and group projects global vision, discovering and seizing the opportunities of the environment to achieve them.

How did the initiative?
In 2010 the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and InnovaChile CORFO established a working group that seeks to design a national program of education for entrepreneurship and innovation, which is in place and operational in all schools in Chile 2014.
That’s why as the first part of this joint strategy, it was decided to make a special call online through the Environment Support InnovaChile Entrepreneur since Wednesday 27 April until 15 July this year.

The aim is that these projects directly impact at least 50 000 students at the school level, and to assess the different methodologies and intervention strategies for the final design of the national program in this area.

Some projects of this type are: courses or workshops creativity, competitiveness, leadership, business skills, motivational training, negotiation, among others. In addition to educational platforms, educational materials, awards of activities, visits to entrepreneurs, promotion of success stories, thematic exhibitions, training of trainers in development of entrepreneurial skills, brought international experts, seminars globalization of enterprises, among others.
